The Frog Pond Pickers began with a few family members playing bluegrass in the living room of our home in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, not far from the Frog Pond Road. A guitar or two and mandolin in the living room led the family in traditional songs for many years. When the Double Bass arrived, we had a band. Adding the banjo, the group began performing for the public. The group continues these traditional family gathering and performs locally.

Expanding into the Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland area.

We have performed in Northern Virginia and now are pleased to have a group of talented musicians in both the areas.  Our Northern FROGs are available anytime but especially during the week and during the day.  We enjoy bringing professional music to our retirement and assisted living communities.  There is real pleasure when our audience sings along as we play some of their favorite songs!
